Vets Crisis Line has been repaired

Loading

The Veterans Crisis Line has been fixed, according to a recent press release by the Department of Veterans Affairs. By adding a call center in Atlanta, and taking other steps, the VA claims it has reduced the number of callers transferred to non-VA providers from 30 percent to less than 1 percent.

Although many people are skeptical of the VA’s claim, it is good to know that more is being done to stop veteran suicide. For too long the issue has not received the attention it deserved, and too many veterans and their loved ones have suffered as a result.
