Roseburg VFW Post Hosts Operation Homefront Toy Drive

ROSEBURG, Ore. — The Roseburg VFW is teaming up with Dollar Tree as part of this year’s Operation Homefront Holiday Toy Drive. This is the seventh year VFW Post 2468 has helped out in this drive.

The Roseburg and Sutherlin Dollar Tree locations gave them about 200 boxes of toys this year.

On the 18th, veterans and their families will come in, and will get to shop for as many toys as they need for their family.

Police Deliver Turkey Dinners To Disabled Veterans

EUGENE, Ore. – Disabled veterans getting a special delivery this Thanksgiving, courtesy of Eugene Police.

Patrol and SWAT officers offered curbside turkey dinner deliveries for 15 veterans in need and their families.

Donors and police put the boxes together and the Police Crisis Negotiation Team helped in the kitchen with the Elk Horn Brewery yesterday.

Prime and Home Front Feed Military Families

TIGARD, Ore.– Operation Home Front with partner Amazon Prime helped out over 50 families with food for a Thanksgiving Day meal.  Participants also received a gift card to New Seasons Markets to  pickup Fresh Turkeys.  the families were surprised and felt very appreciated for their service to our country.

Roseburg Meat Program Helps Local Veterans, Families

ROSEBURG, Ore. — A program at the Roseburg VFW is helping local veterans put meat on their table this holiday season. The program originally started in Winston in 1988 by helping a man that had some deer getting into his garden, and later moved up to Roseburg in 2008.

Since then, the men and women at the Roseburg VFW have helped nearly 3,200 veterans, their families, and some of the families in need in the area.
