Timothy Taylor of Corvallis thought he was getting a shopping spree at the Albany WinCo Foods last week.

But the Army National Guard veteran and his family were surprised when they were told they would receive free groceries for a year, worth more than $10,000.

“Words cannot express how grateful we are for this gift,” Taylor said, in a news release. “With three kids, someone is always hungry in our house, so this gift of groceries will help relieve a lot of stress for our family.”
