Veterans and those vaccinated out of state now must sign up to be entered in Oregon’s COVID-19 vaccine lottery.
The state’s “Take Your Shot” campaign will award one $1 million prize and 36 $10,000 prizes (one in each county) to adults. Youth will be entered for a chance to win one of five $100,000 Oregon College Savings Plan education scholarships.
Oregon residents who received a vaccine out of state or from a federal provider must register online at takeyourshot.oregon.gov to be entered in the lottery, Gov. Kate Brown said during a news conference Friday.
Other residents who receive at least one shot by June 27 will be entered automatically. The drawing will take place June 28, and winners will be announced the week of July 4.
