In an effort to spread awareness of those who have fought and served for the United States — to bring history out of textbooks — Bob Hill, president and chair of Lake Oswego Veterans Memorial, says its important for veterans to mingle with the younger generation.
“It’s just trying to get the point across to these young kids in school what these vets are all about, what they did and when they did it,” Hill said.
