JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. — The Southern Oregon Submarine Veterans spent Friday afternoon commemorating the World War II bombings of Oregon in 1942.
“It doesn’t get as much attention as other events do in the war, because really the ironic thing is that the attacks weren’t successful like no lives were lost,” Katlyn Temple from Chetco Community Public Library said.
