Native American veterans will be honored with “long overdue” memorial on National Mall

Planners met with tribal leaders and veterans around the country for guidance on the memorial’s design, which aims to encompass hundreds of federally recognized tribes. It is scheduled to be unveiled on Veterans Day in 2020.
