National POW/MIA Recognition Day will be held Friday, Sept. 15. The National League of POW/MIA Families notes that “the annual event honors our missing service members and their families, and highlights the government’s commitment to account for them.” Local POW/MIA events are held around the country, with a national ceremony held in Washington, D.C.
