Southern Oregon Stand Down aims to provide Veterans with the housing and wraparound services they need to successfully exit homelessness—in just one day. Although Stand Down has been trimmed to a one-day event, it will still provide the services to aid down-and-out Veterans who need a hand up. Southern Oregon Stand Down events bring together government agencies, organizations, housing providers, nonprofit agencies, and local businesses to connect homeless Veterans with permanent supportive housing. The event features an employment fair, legal services, mental health services, Oregon DMV, VA eligibility, VA homeless programs, VA justice outreach, Veterans benefits office, free haircuts, lunch and refreshments, and much more.
