SOUTH COAST – The VA is looking to help homeless veterans.
The eighth annual Veterans Stand Down is Friday, Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The homeless are invited to attend at the Southwestern Oregon Regional Airport Hangar 1 in North Bend.
The stand down is a one-day-a-year event that provides resources to help people find a way off the streets. Though all homeless are welcome, it is geared specifically for veterans who are down on their luck.
