Memorial Day isn’t just the start of summer beach season, but a day honoring American soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Across the country, federal offices and some businesses will be closed in recognition of the day, which began as a holiday honoring Union soldiers who were killed during the Civil War.
