A team of researchers has spent the past year researching records, documenting burials and mapping one of the oldest cemeteries in Clackamas County.
Clackamas Pioneer Cemetery is home to 72 veterans of the armed services: two from the Indian Wars, 30 from the Civil War, two from the Spanish War, 14 World War I, 10 WWII, two Vietnam and the remainder serving during peace time. The new map of all known burials in the cemetery — both marked and unmarked — will be installed just prior to Memorial Day.
