In Silence We Served with Honor
For most of our modern history, service in the United States military has been seen as a noble profession; one that garners respect, admiration and honor for the service member.
This is no different for LGBTQ Americans who served their country with honor. Yet since before we were officially a country, there have been regulations and policies forcing these servicemembers to perform their duties in silence.
Please join Nathaniel Boehme, LGBTQ veteran coordinator for the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs, for a look at LGBTQ Americans in the military.
