Jerry Schleining Jr. wears a silver memorial bracelet to honor friend and colleague Brad Lindsey, who served in the U.S. Army with him in Iraq and was later killed in Afghanistan. Schleining and other veterans gathered at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 180 in Gresham don’t have to wait until Memorial Day on Monday to remember fallen soldiers. The departed are with them every day.
