SUMMARY:Horses for Heroes
DESCRIPTION:Our veterans program “Horses for Heroes” has been designed to support veterans in a variety of ways. Equine assisted services are a valuable and effective tool for many issues veterans face. Past participants have reported significant improvement in stress and anxiety, depression, PTSD, cognitive, physical and behavioral issues.\nWe are very excited to be offering this program to all veterans free of charge, due to generous grants we have received from community partnerships. This one-hour weekly program combines both ground work with horses and horseback riding. Horses have an innate ability to connect on a deep emotional level with humans. This makes horses a perfect partner for people struggling with the challenges of daily life, as well as the extra challenges many veterans experience. Our program also provides an opportunity for connection with other veterans.\n
