Veteran Toxin & Dioxin Town Hall sponsored by Vietnam Veterans of America and VA portland Health care System. Date/Time: March 24, 2018 11:00 AM. Location: Portland VA Medical Center Auditorium 3710 SW U.S. Veterans Hospital Rd. Portland, OR 97239, Portland. Portland Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 392 is partnering with VA Portland Health Care System to host a “Toxin & Dioxin Town Hall.” Veterans, family members, clinicians and others interested are invited to this free event to get information related to exposures many Veterans may have faced during their time in the military. Come hear from a sundry of subject matter experts and get involved in the conversation. The three main speakers are… (1) Sandie Wilson; retired Army Nurse Corps colonel. Served in Vietnam ’68 & ’69. Serves on the National Board of Directors for Vietnam Veterans of America; spent 40 years advocating for active military and Veterans; has extensive knowledge of the effects of Agent Orange. Will bring a wealth of knowledge to the Town Hall attendees. (2) Tom Owen; Has been part of 37 different Agent Orange Town Halls. Is a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America National Board of Directors. Tom has made 18 trips to Washington, DC to advocate for Veterans’ about their issues and concerns. (3) Jim Pace; Is a Senior Accredited Service Officer (VSO) currently serving with the American Legion and the effects of Agent Orange on Vietnam Veterans.
