Women Veterans: The construction industry needs you!

Union construction careers pay $22 – $51 per hour in addition to benefit packages between $10 – $31 per hour.

As a military veteran you have skills that are transferable to a high-wage, high-demand career in the construction trades.

Construction training is through Registered Apprenticeship which is often tuition-free and eligible for college credit and GI Benefits.
Earn a percentage of Journeylevel wage which increases as you advance in your on-the-job and classroom training.

Electricians (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Locals 48 and 280) – $32.78 – $40.20/hr*
Roofers & Waterproofers (Roofers Union Local 49) – $28.53/hr*
Construction Craft Laborers (Northwest Laborers Employers Training Trust and Oregon and Southern Idaho Laborers Employers Training Trust) – $27.72./hr*
Sheet Metal Workers (Sheet Metal Workers Local 16) – $39.36/hr*
Pacific NW Carpenters Institute (Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters) – $24.51 – $36.71/hr*
Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc – Free pre-apprenticeship training
* Journeylevel wage after completing training
