“Combat Grass” Exhibit Closing Ceremony

“Combat Grass” Exhibit Closing Ceremony sponsored by Matthew Boulay. Date/Time: February 15, 2018 5:30 PM. Location: Bush Barn Art Center 600 Mission St. SE, Salem. You are invited to the closing ceremony of Combat Grass. Combat Grass is inspired by Carl Sandberg’s poem, Grass, and is meant to honor the sacrifices of the more than 160 fallen servicewomen who have died from wars since 2002. The combat boot represents the soldier who was killed overseas; the shoe represents the woman who lived and loved as a wife, mother, sister, or a daughter. The public is invited to join us at this special closing ceremony in remembrance of our fallen sisters. The ceremony will include reading the names of all 160 servicewomen who have given the ultimate sacrifice. To RSVP email Rosy, semperfigirl75@gmail.com.
