Honor Flight of Eastern Oregon is looking for more WWII Veterans

Loading

Honor Flight of Eastern Oregon is looking for more WWII Veterans to take to Washington, DC on our 15th Honor Flight during June 7-11, 2017. We visit 10 veterans memorials in our nation’s Capitol including the National WWII Memorial. To be eligible for a FREE 4 day trip, veterans must have served in the Armed Forces anywhere during Dec. 7, 1941 – Dec. 31, 1946 and live east of the Cascade Mountains in Oregon. We take veterans who use wheelchairs, walkers, canes and oxygen. We have medical staff on the trip. Each veteran must be accompanied by a Guardian – a family member if possible. Guardians pay Honor Flight of Eastern Oregon about $1250 to cover round trip airfare, hotels, meals and bus transport in DC. Honor Flight of Eastern Oregon is a member of the National Honor Flight Network and a non – profit 501c3 entity. Veterans and Guardian application forms can be downloaded from http://honorflightofeasternoregon.org/
