Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) is excited to announce funding awards of $15,989,698 to build 435 affordable rental homes in communities across the state. These awards come at a critical time as Oregonians continue to be impacted by housing instability as a result of tight rental markets and rising housing costs. Released in February 2019, OHCS’ Statewide Housing Plan set a five-year goal to triple the number of affordable rental homes in its development to 25,000 homes. With this announcement, the current number of new rental homes in production has exceeded 11,700.
