Klamath Falls, Ore.– The Klamath County School District yesterday removed the plaque on a World War II Memorial that sits on the Henley Complex… handing it over the to the Klamath County Veterans Service Office for safe-keeping until a new monument to display the plaque can be constructed… once upgrades are made to the grounds of the campus. The memorial was first installed and dedicated in 1955 in the memory of seven Henley grads who died while serving in the war. The new monument is expected to built by the end of July. A re-dedication ceremony will be held when the memorial is done.
